The DANTERMcentre carries out consultancy and advisory work in the following areas:
- Concept modelling
- Terminology work
- Development of tailored term- and knowledge bases and dictionaries

- Definition of language strategy and policy
- Analysis of language technology needs
Since 1998, the DANTERMcentre has carried out terminology work on a consultancy basis.
We have extremely good experience in combining the knowledge of technical experts in their various fields of expertise with the Centre’s broad knowledge of the terminological working method.
The Centre has, among other things, produced material in the field of the environment for the EU’s EURODICAUTOM termbase.
In recent years, the Centre has worked closely with the Danish National Board of Health and Hovedstadens Sygehusfællesskab (the Association of Hospitals in Copenhagen) to clarify the basic concepts in the field of health in connection with the compilation of electronic patient records.
The DANTERMcentre prepares analyses of companies’ requirements to introduce new strategies in the language domain – including the requirement to introduce language technology. One of the ways we do this is by investigating the existing working procedures and workloads as well as future requirements, and we compare them with our knowledge of the options for using language technology.
Nearly all companies have material around which, with a greater or lesser amount of adaptation, can be loaded into a term- and knowledge base. The DANTERMcentre offers to clean up, encode and load this material into the termbase, so there is something to search for right from the start. We usually do this sort of work on a consultancy basis.
